HOW TO APPLY FOR A VISA
Requirements for a Schengen visa at the Danish Embassy in Bratislava
The following is required from the applicant:
Apply in person
An application cannot be accepted if the applicant is not legally in the Slovak Republic at the time of application.
In all cases you need to complete two forms; an
application form
and
a
supplementary form
. For further information please read the applications. Passport or official travel document with a blank page for the visa sticker.
It is a condition that the validity of the passport exceeds that of the visa by at least 3 months. The validity of travel documents should exceed that of the visa by at least 6 months.
Two passport photographs, which must be in colour on a light background, taken face on and close up, size 3.5 x 4.5 cm. The forehead and hairline of the applicant must be clearly visible.
Evidence that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay, e.g. original recent bank statement, traveller's cheques, credit cards with credit limit statement.
Proof of travel medical insurance.
Proof of purpose of visit
Visit family, relatives or friends: original letter of invitation, evidence of accommodation.
Tourism: evidence of accommodation, e.g. hotel reservation or organised tour.
Business: original letter of invitation from your foreign business partner explaining the nature and duration of stay applied for and whether it involves single or multiple entry plus evidence of accommodation, e.g. hotel reservation.
Study: Evidence of occupation/student status, Proof of your current occupation, e.g. an original letter from your employer, school or university confirming your status/attendance. If you are unemployed, your social benefit booklet. If you are a student in the Slovak Republic an original letter from your school or university confirming your status/attendance.
